Had a nice date night out at PF Chang's recently. Maybe I went because it's Chinese New Year, or maybe I had completely forgotten and just went because they serve food there. Either way, Happy Chinese New Year!
They have a special drink to celebrate the new year, called 'Dragon Punch'. Our server (who was very nice, by the way) rattled off the ingredients pretty quickly, which of course, I paid no attention to. All I heard was "strawberry puree", "lemon juice", and "vodka".
Sold.
Little did I know, one of the ingredients is also sriracha sauce. I didn't recognize what that was, so I assumed it was some kind of awesome asian ginger something or other. Sriracha is hot sauce.
I have to say, I don't recommend putting sriracha sauce in drinks. I honestly couldn't pay attention to anything my date said for about 30 minutes. Not one to waste alcohol, I drank about two thirds of the drink and ordered the next without it. You can check out the actual recipe here.
