It's a Celebration!

This past Saturday, October 13th, I turned 27.  Panda also tried to steal my birthday shine by being born on the 11th.

I made this dinner for Panda and I before we headed out to meet up with our friends. (Don't be impressed, this is 1 of 2 dishes that I know how to make successfully.)

My friends and I had a blast! We went out to The Local, which is a small dive-ish bar in Atlanta. Working in a nightclub several nights every week, you grow pretty fond of low-key spots like  this one.

I got at least 17 dirty looks that night because our group kind of took over the place. When I say 'kind of', I mean everyone left.

Also, for whatever reason, I took it upon myself to do the Gangnam Style routine at every possible moment. Hence my pose.

Only one person in this picture thew up that night. Heh.

I got together with a few of my girls for dinner before work that weekend. RA sushi always has good food, so that was my first choice. Their garlic edamame is a must try.

The server noticed my birthday on my driver's license and brought this out for me! If fried ice cream is wrong, I don't want to be right.

My friend Cindy brought this little surprise for me at work. Some MAC goodies and a Hello Kitty balloon! How sweet.

I ended up getting the boots I've been wanting for forever, the new iPhone 5 and a grab bag full of makeup goodies. Not too shabby!
