The Skinny.

So, lately I've been inspired by my personal trainer friend, Janae, to embrace this whole "lunch box life". Basically food prepping for your week, in efforts to keep the cupcakes away. And it works! If you're anything like me, you probably wait until you're on the verge of wasting away to actually sit down and eat. Which leads to fast food and other non-flat stomach friendly foods. This helps tremendously.

Here's my breakdown for the week:

So here I have (from left to right, sort of): premixed salads - spinach, kale and romaine lettuce; baby carrots, shrimp - cooked in the oven, seasoned with Mrs. Dash, steamed brown rice, steamed broccoli, ground turkey, hard boiled eggs, baked chicken, assorted berries, pineapples, grapes and sliced cucumbers in italian dressing.

Word of advice: this will take you a few times to actually get it down to how you will like it. For example, this time I skipped putting everything in tupperware containers because wtf I hate doing dishes, and I put everything in separate bags so that I could mix and match and not be stuck with the same meal for multiple days.

If you try this out, tag me in your post, so I can see what you're packing.
And I also want to see your food prep.

Jokes ;)

  1. Great post will definitely try this thanks for sharing!

  2. Great idea using the bags! I used to food prep but got tired of having the same thing every single day. This is a great way to switch up meals, thanks!
